Megan Cooper brings a person-centered, deeply human approach to therapy. Her work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves a space that is genuinely supportive — one where they can show up exactly as they are, without having to perform, explain, or justify themselves.
She works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, body image concerns, women's issues, and postpartum mental health. Whether you are in the middle of a hard season or trying to understand patterns that have followed you for years, Megan's goal is to help you feel less alone in it — and more capable of moving through it.
"My focus is on creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space while integrating mindfulness and meditation to support growth, resilience, and self-awareness."
Megan spent a year with Sentient Path as a graduate intern before completing her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. That time gave her a deep familiarity with the practice's values — and with the kinds of clients we serve. She is not new to this work. She is new to the credential.
She is currently awaiting LPC-Associate licensure in Texas and will begin seeing clients under clinical supervision as soon as her license is issued. Her supervised practice means she brings the full weight of her training and the added layer of regular clinical oversight — a structure that supports both her growth and the quality of care her clients receive.
Megan's approach integrates mindfulness and meditation as practical tools — not as abstract concepts, but as accessible practices that can help regulate the nervous system, build self-awareness, and create space between a feeling and a reaction. For clients who have never tried mindfulness before, she meets you where you are.
Whether it shows up as constant worry, physical tension, social anxiety, or a sense that something is always about to go wrong — Megan helps clients understand what is driving their anxiety and build tools to work with it, not just push through it.
Depression can look different for everyone — low energy, disconnection, numbness, or a quiet sense that nothing matters. Megan creates a space where clients can explore what's underneath without judgment, and begin to reconnect with themselves.
Megan works with teens and adults who are navigating the real-life impact of ADHD — from executive function challenges and time blindness to emotional dysregulation and the exhaustion of masking. Her approach is affirming, practical, and grounded in how ADHD actually works.
Body image concerns are rarely just about the body. Megan helps clients explore the beliefs, experiences, and pressures that shape how they see themselves — and build a more compassionate, grounded relationship with who they are.
From identity and relationships to life transitions, boundaries, and the weight of invisible labor — Megan offers a space where women can be honest about what they are carrying and what they need.
The postpartum period can bring joy, grief, anxiety, and identity shifts all at once. Megan supports new and expecting parents navigating postpartum depression, anxiety, adjustment, and the complicated feelings that don't always have a name.
Megan's therapeutic approach starts with the relationship. Before any technique or framework, she believes that feeling genuinely heard and understood is itself therapeutic. Her sessions are collaborative — she follows your lead while offering structure when it helps.
She draws on mindfulness and meditation not as homework, but as tools you can explore together in session and carry into your daily life. For clients who are skeptical of mindfulness, she is happy to start small and practical.
Megan is joining the team April–May 2026 and will begin seeing clients as soon as her LPC-Associate license is issued. If you are interested in working with her, reach out now — we will match you with her as soon as she is available, or connect you with another member of our team in the meantime.
