About Madeline

Support for finding yourself again.

Madeline Brooks, LPC-Associate, provides counseling for children and adults at Sentient Path, with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD. She offers in-person sessions and virtual therapy throughout Texas.

When anxiety, depression, or painful experiences leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, it can be difficult to know what you need—or where to begin. Madeline offers space to slow down, understand what you are experiencing, and work toward goals that matter to you.

She works with children and adults navigating trauma, relationship concerns, questions about identity, and difficult emotions. Her approach combines thoughtful self-exploration with practical coping skills, so there is room both to reflect and to consider what could help in everyday life.

Space to reflect. Practical tools for moving forward.

For parents and caregivers seeking support for a child, Madeline brings experience supporting children’s emotional, social, and behavioral needs. The focus is on understanding the child’s experience and building age-appropriate ways to express feelings and cope—not treating the child as a problem to fix.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, Madeline’s work centers on listening, developing goals collaboratively, and helping you recognize patterns and strengths.

How Madeline Works

Thoughtful exploration, with tools you can use.

Madeline’s approach begins with listening and understanding your experience. Together, you can explore what feels difficult, notice patterns, and develop goals that reflect your priorities. Her clinical experience includes the approaches below; the work is shaped around the client rather than a fixed formula.

  • Trauma-Informed Care

Attention to how past experiences may shape current feelings and responses, while respecting choice, collaboration, and what feels manageable to discuss.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Madeline has experience using CBT to explore connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and to consider practical responses to everyday challenges.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Approaches

Her counseling experience includes DBT approaches. She draws on this experience to support practical coping skills and reflection on emotional and relationship patterns.

  • Child-Focused Experience

Madeline’s background includes virtual play therapy and supporting children in after-school and inclusion settings. These experiences inform her understanding of age-appropriate expression and social-emotional needs.
